Actually it is Talk About Yourself Thursday at Aortic Hope!
Many of us have a secondary illness to our Aortic Disease or comorbidity. This can include migraines, exhaustion, PTSD, Lupus, RA etc.
On social media, we post what we want the world to see of us... Not necessarily the "real" us.
In THIS ARTICLE from The Mighty written by Erin Migdol titled "18 Things People With Chronic Illness Want to Post on Facebook, but Don't", for many chronically ill people, "there’s an internal debate between wanting to share the truth and reach out for support, and knowing your post may generate negative or insensitive comments (or no comments) from friends. As a result, many people with chronic illness choose not to share the reality of their day-to-day lives on Facebook."
Make Yourself Known.... Post how you feel, don't hold back. If you are happy, shout it to the world and if you feel terrible, shout even louder! Never any judgements here!
