"As part of a multicenter clinical trial, University of Alabama at Birmingham surgeons implanted Alabama’s first NEXUS™️ aortic arch stent graft system. This was the first in the region and only the fourth procedure of its kind in the United States.
Adam Beck, M.D., professor and director of the Division of Vascular Surgery and Endovascular Therapy, and Kyle W. Eudailey, M.D., assistant professor in the Division of Cardiothoracic Surgery, led the groundbreaking, complex surgery, which is a new treatment option for patients with thoracic aortic arch disease."
