It's a Movement for Movement

at Aortic Hope.

Back in 2020, we created a 𝗠𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗠𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 because many people after a diagnosis of Aortic Disease or surgery from aortic valve replacement, aneurysm or dissection tend do become "Cardiac Paralyzed". Simply put, they become fearful of moving.

🚶‍♂️Moving your body, depending on the what your doctor has set for you regarding goals or restrictions, is essential for physical health and mental health. However, it is important to make sure you don't hurt yourself by stretching beforehand.

🙋‍♀️Stretching before exercising is like the pre-game pep talk for your muscles; it gets them hyped and ready for the action! Imagine your muscles are like rubber bands. Without a good stretch, they might snap when you need them the most, like when you're reaching for that last cookie on the top shelf.

🤕Stretching ensures your muscles are limber and less prone to injury, because let's face it, no one wants to explain they threw out their back doing something epic like... brisk walking. Plus, it increases blood flow, which is like giving your muscles a nice, warm hug, preparing them for the workout ahead.

😀So, remember to stretch, or you might just end up being that person who pulled a muscle playing tag with their pet goldfish.
